Serving as the associate executive director of the American Academy of Pediatrics in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, Dr. Ramesh Sachdeva has over 25 years of experience in the field of medicine. As a medical professional, Dr. Ramesh Sachdeva is a member of several professional organizations including the American Medical Association (AMA).

Founded in 1847, the American Medical Association was established to create a national medical convention charged with establishing medical and ethical standards for the field. In addition to training medical professionals in standards and ethics, the AMA creates numerous educational programs, including one covering telemedicine to help improve health outcomes and patient care.
The Telemedicine education program trains physicians to evaluate the use of telemedicine in the treatment of patients, as well as to determine how telemedicine can be used to identify specialties needed in various regions and to reduce overall healthcare costs while improving patient care. The use of telemedicine allows for mobile and remote medical care, providing greater flexibility and access for both physicians and patients.
